I don't think they are leaving any time soon. It'll be at least 3 years.

I'm going to change my 13 game pack to the half season deal. Going to do my part. I'll probably move back to 323 if I do that however.

How for sure? The clause has not been enacted yet and has to be done before June 19th. The sale will not be final by then so Leipold will have to encact the clause and he has said many times he was only interested in selling the team if the new owner was interested in staying in Nashville. That said, that could all be bullshit.

the sale won't be done by July 19th???
it is expected to be announced as soon as today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think Leipold just stated what Nashvillians wanted to hear!
why would a man who resides in Canada want to keep the team in Nashville?
this is the same guy who backed out of buying the Penguins and he already made the statement that he was moving that team to Canada...

The Predators have a clause in their lease that allows the franchise to be moved after next season if the team does not average 14,000 fans per game. The Predators, who had the third best record in the NHL last season, only averaged 13,815 fans per game. Balsillie apparently has offered about $200 million for the franchise and could move the team to Canada should Nashville not get the 14,000 fans per game next season.

Anthony, do you really think selling a $200 million dollar professional sports franchise is lilke selling a car? I thought you were a business major. Just to back up my opinoin here are some words:
" The deadline is June 19, by which time Balsillie's deal with almost certainly not be completed. So it would be up to the current owner to pull the plug - and even if the owner does, the city would retain the option to guarantee a 14,000 average for next season by buying unsold tickets and thus closing the escape route."
