Since when do you have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job? This guy represents a large company that gets lots of revenue from advertisers. Was Rush convicted of a crime? No, all he did was speak a couple of words and he was fired. So quit acting like nobody has ever lost a job without committing a crime. He was making the NFL/Titans/himself look bad; therefore he lost his privilege to work for the NFL.

I didn't say that damnit. Oooohhh. Rush, what the fuck ever.

How can you suspend Henry 8 games when he was actually convicted and Jones a whole season with not a single conviction? How is that equitable?

Here's what you don't seem to understand...if you aren't convicted, you are deemed innocent. So, being judged innocent, an arrest shouldn't be grounds for losing your job.

Here's what you don't seem to understand...if you make your company look bad, whether or not you’re "innocent", you can be fired or suspended. And for the 657^343221th time, innocent until proven guilty is in a court of law, not public opinion or your job or anything else. So with your logic, OJ should still be on NBC or whatever network for which he worked. You should have been a defense lawyer if you feel the plight of criminals so strongly. A career change maybe?

I've thought about it. I find your argument invalid. O.J. was convicted. He was convicted in a wrongful death suit in a civil court.

Here's the problem with your argument...he hasn't lost his job, he's been suspended. I'm arguing that his suspension is too harsh compared to what other's have received.

My bad then. But you did bring up examples of people losing their jobs.

OL L. Jones Talks About The Assault Against Him
Mark Curnutte, Cincinnati Enquirer - [Full Article]

Left tackle Levi Jones finally spoke about his altercation between himself and new Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter. "It was like that, it was problematic for me and my family, especially when the true story wasn't out there," Jones said calling Porter a coward. "...ESPN, all they wanted to report was Joey Porter hit me in the face. Six guys attacked me from behind before he did it. He (Porter) got my attention from the front and wouldn't get near me until the six guys jumped me from behind, (then) he took part."

NFL teams should recruit ex-cons. Newly released from prison. Anybody see the Longest Yard? They're clearly talented.
