Okay Mick, Pac wasn't convicted. So, show me where due process played a role in Jones' suspension. And no one should paint me as a Jones apologist; I don't care if he ever plays another down for the Titans. But show me where the criminal process played out in Jones' suspension.

it did not and i don't think it will have to in the Vick case either!

Jones didn't get suspended the day following the Vegas incident.....
i think Goodell will act soon and dammit people, this is not a first time offender you are talking about!!!!!!
Ron Mexico, water bottle, flipping off HOME fans, illegal dog fighting and execution, etc.....

it didn't in his case...

i was saying that Roger Gayddell give less of a suspension to someone who has been convicted.

doesn't make any sense to me either.

Here's something i just read:

-- Other Sources Say No Suspension for Vick Based Upon Indictment --

Wed Jul 18, 2007 --from FFMastermind.com

The New York Daily News reports sources said last night that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will not suspend Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick based on the indictment handed down yesterday by a federal grand jury on charges related to dogfighting, which is a felony. The league will contend it's a long way from indictment to conviction, so Goodell will allow the legal process to play out. The NFL acknowledged the "activities alleged are cruel, degrading and illegal." For the moment, Vick should be more concerned about being sent away to jail for six years than getting kicked out of the NFL this season. This episode, at the very least, could eventually cost him his career with the Falcons.

how can it be "cruel, degrading, and illegal".....but not detrimental to the league's image???

The Titans were "dismayed" by the news that Pacman Jones might be allowed to participate in training camp.
They clearly want to cut their ties with Jones and will look to Commissioner Roger Goodell for guidance on the case. In other Pacman news, the Miami Herald reports that Jones was turned away from a club this weekend for wearing shorts. His nightlife doesn't seem to be slowing down.

outside of his office NOONE knows what Goodell will do.....

Michael Vick-QB-Falcons Jul. 18 - 12:48 am et

According to Yahoo's Jason Cole, Michael Vick will be suspended by the NFL following his indictment on charges related to dog fighting.
Sources say Roger Goodell has monitored Vick's situation since the two met face-to-face in April and Vick told the commissioner that he rarely visited his property in Surry County, Virginia. Despite Cole's report, ESPN's John Clayton believes that Vick's status as a first-time offender could mean the legal process has to run its course first. They could wait for Vick to be arrested.

What a can of worms.

Of course they don't want Pac in camp. The distraction of him being there; the reduced snaps for someone who will be starting in his stead during the regular season; why would the Titans want that?

But, if you think that the Titans have cut ties with him; you're mistaken. They'll take him back once week 11 roles around if Jones has made it through Goodell's requirements.

Your opinion didn't pay Jones over $14 million in signing bonus.
