The State House just passed a smoking ban throughout Tennessee, 84 - 10. Next to the Senate, which passed a similar bill, 22 - 5. It would take effect, July 1.
The House Bill exempts bars; so, smoke 'em if you got 'em.

What defines a bar? Anywhere where alcohol is served? Then the smoking ban would hardly affect anyone here since we are a bunch of sots.

I think a bar would be defined as an entity that doesn't prepare food for consumption.

No such thing. Every bar has food. It's a stupid business decision not to.

Yes they do. Deep frying or microwaving food is "preparing".

Bar as defined by the law to be signed by Governor Bredesen: an establishment that serves alcohol with an age restriction.
