How many people can be on IR? Is there a rule that restricts too many on IR. If there is not I think 2 should be the max.

Why a limit? There should be a legitimacy to the player being listed on IR, but why a limit. Remember what happened to Shane last year? You could have 3 stars who get hurt, and would be able to only keep 2 of them. That's ridiculous. Any IR rule should have to do with the legitimacy of a player's injury.

You don't drop the star player but I guess it has to do with roster restrictions. Before we were putting people on IR and picking others up from the waiver wire and teams were having 30 on the roster. That is my point.

A player has to be listed as OUT by the NFL's official injury report released twice a week (Thursdays and Saturdays).

I policed this last year and it worked pretty well. Just some teams have unforunate luck.

Eagles running back Brian Westbrook will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Westbrook suffered a minute fracture of his first rib and a muscle strain in Sunday's contest against the Browns. "What we found was that he does have a first rib fracture," head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder told the team's official web site. "It did not show up on X-ray. It's a non-displaced fracture so it's lined up and so small. It's a crack really." Westbrook did not practice on Wednesday.

i think instead of reducing the roster size that we should just stop these weekly IR transactions!!!
we can still put players on IR, but ONLY after they have been officially placed on IR by their respective NFL team...
that would stop people from abusing the system, and it would make team owners decide whether or not to keep a player who is out 8 weeks for example...

Ir is there for a reason and if your players are out then their our, dont penilize paople for bad luck. Why dont we restrict pick ups, draft picks, how many times you can piss on draft day lets just becaome a communist league. If players abusees the rule Ive notice others call them out, but dont penilize bad luck.

Lets have a rule you can only log on and view your team once a week? How aout that? I am in favor.
