Maybe it's Floyd Jr who needs to be corrected. I just read an article that said the Titans didn't make a formal offer to Keyshawn.
You better get on your knees and pray...Sheffield and Gainesboro are on the way.

couple of different places have said that we offered him $7-$8 million over two years.

they also were saying that he was playing the titans to get a bigger contract from ESPN.

either way, we lost out on another player....surprise, surprise.

Jim Wyatt reported that the Titans did not make a formal offer and any suggestions that it was 2 years and 8 million are an exaggeration.

Unnamed sources have told ESPN.com that former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has turned down an offer from the Tennessee Titans and has decided to retire to pursue a career in broadcasting. Johnson is expected to announce his decision at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Eric Moulds-WR- Texans May. 23 - 11:23 pm et


The Titans are expected to consider trying out free agent Eric Moulds, 33, after missing out on Keyshawn Johnson, 34.

Tennessee has missed on countless wideouts in recent drafts and apparently feels the need for veteran depth. Moulds was cut by Houston after averaging 9.8 yards-per-catch last season. Another possibility would be trading for Justin McCareins.
