Ahhh I knew that was the reason for the waiver wire. The owners that go to the games band together to keep from losing out on Free agent pick ups on Sunday. Good job guys.
Instead of taking the long way and try to force a waiver wire on the league, why not strike at the heart of the matter and introduce a rule saying that free agent pick ups will not be allowed until everyone that went to the game has had a chance to come back from the game and has had a chance to down at their computer.
I would join in the efforts if the Titans were worth seeing!
New rules create more problems.

Let me expand the intention, maybe I misinterpreted, but I do know that what I stated is part of the issue. Secondly, it's to keep people from scavenging like vultures.
We've talked about adding a transaction fee to cut down on the pick-ups, but that would never work.

You better get on your knees and pray...Sheffield and Gainesboro are on the way.

Good Point J.S. It was so inspiring that I want to introduce a new rule.
This rule will be named the Scavenging like a bunch of piece of shit vultures PATRIOT ACT. In this rule a propose only 1 transaction per owner per week.
No matter what day of the week it is Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday you will be able to do that 1 transaction but you will have to show 5 pieces of ID at the time of said transaction!

The way it was proposed:
Starting at kickoff of the first game of the week to Thursday, owners may put in requests for players - all players: recently dropped and and other free agents. On Thursday those waiver requests are processed.
Then First Come, First Served until the start of games next week.
To answer another post: the waiver/pick up rules can be changed to any of the suggested configurations... Or countless other configurations.
To answer another post: The leagues are independent. They don't need to have the same rules.
Another reply: Players can be "locked" X amount of days after being dropped.

The rules are fair. The regulations are fair.

I hate waiver wires.....so Im against it obviously...but if this is going to pass it only makes since to make the players free on Wednesday. Anthony made a good point about the Thursday games that are later in the year. You might need the player your picking up for that Thursday game. If it has to be a new rule, please consider players being on your team by Wednesday.
