Starting 2008

I've upgraded both leagues to the 2008 version (not paid yet)

Trades and roster moves have been turned on in the 2007 version.

Just looking at some of the new settings.

This one involves trades:

When An Owner Accepts A Trade:
* The trade is immediately processed.
* The trade requires approval from the commissioner.
* The trade is subject to a league-wide vote for days.

When A Trade Poll Is Created:
* Poll results are completely hidden until poll expires.
* Poll is public, revealing who voted what way.
* Poll is required - owners must vote before submitting lineups.

When A Trade Poll Is Over, The Trade Is:
* Manually processed by the commissioner via the For Commissioners > Review Trades option.
* Automatically rejected if "Reject" votes are cast (likewise, it will be automatically accepted if enough "Accept" votes are cast to make a trade rejection not possible). A missing vote from an owner at the time the poll is over is considered an "Accept" vote.

Right now it is set to immediate processing. We have never had a trade that caused dispute. Our rules state "Unfair trades must be contested by at least four owners within three days of the announced trade." (Rule 12.2). Is there any interest in turning this over completely to the web site? Trades would not be immediate. The transaction would have to wait until the poll expired.

I think that is fair as long as the wait is not a long one.

I say leave it alone and allow immediate processing since we've never had a problem in our 10+ year history! If the problem should arise the Grand Pooh-bah can take care of it.

I agree with Anthony...what if you made a trade on Saturday? Then you couldnt have that player for the game on Sunday.
